Tessa is training to be certified to teach ASL in Alberta and will be offering classes in Calgary, Olds, and Cochrane. Interest has been growing from people of all backgrounds — including medical students, parents of Deaf children, family members of people with hearing loss, and anyone simply curious to learn more about ASL and Deaf culture.

📅 Schedule
Classes are 2 hours each, held weekly starting in October. Final dates will be confirmed once registration closes in each location.

Language deprivation and inaccessibility remain some of the biggest challenges faced by Deaf individuals in the Hearing world. Tessa is passionate about breaking down these barriers. She not only teaches ASL but also empowers learners with knowledge about accessibility rights and the lived experiences of people with hearing loss.
Her goal is to bridge the gap between the Deaf and Hearing communities— helping you gain language skills while building awareness, empathy, and connection.
